Kinetic Volunteers:

Here comes Spring -- and the 2024 Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race! Plan to be in Baltimore in less than 12 weeks on Saturday, May 4!

Of course, the race doesn't happen without a LOT of support from many volunteers, people just like YOU. You should come to one or both of these volunteer meetings:

• Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30pm
• Saturday, April 27 at 10:00am

Both are on the 3rd floor of the Jim Rouse Visionary Center next to the American Visionary Art Museum: 800 Key Highway in Baltimore. Come alone or bring friends! Put these dates on your calendar.

There are many ways to volunteer. Most are during the race, but you can also help prepare days in advance or early Saturday morning. We need eager volunteers for:

• Building & operating the mud and sand pits
• Kinetic Medics (especially if you have medical experience)
• Engaging the crowd and answering questions
• Clearing morning tidal debris at the Canton water entry
• Marine Posse (if you have a kayak and know how to use it)
• Marking the race course so racers don't get lost
• Inspecting sculptures for safety
• Protecting and serving as Kinetic Chickens and Kops
• Holding banners at the finish line for racers to tear through
