Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race
Volunteer! This means you!

Here's a Sculpture!

The Kinetic Sculpture Race doesn’t happen by itself.

The good people at the Visionary Art Museum work very hard to run this race every year. Kinetinauts put in endless hours creating their massive works of art. Can you spare a few hours to help the race?

The Visionary Art Museum needs Volunteers like you! Could you fill any of these roles?

  • Checkpoint Charlies
  • Number Nerds
  • Medics on Wheels
  • Finish Line Holders
  • Experienced Kayakers
  • Mud Doctors
  • Sand Dwellers
  • Wash World
  • Clean-Up Crews
  • Safety Inspectors
  • Countdown Girls
  • Kops

Of course you can! That’s why you should help put on the race, and get an inside view of the mayhem involved.

Kinetic Volunteers Wanted Poster What to Do

You’re too late for 2013, but you should come to the 2014 volunteer meetings when they are announced and join the Volunteer Mailing List for email notification before each meeting and other items of interest to volunteers.

Of special value are volunteers with the following skills:

  • Medical expertise of any kind
  • Kayakers (with your own kayak)

Questions? Email Beka Bridges!

And no matter the job, no matter the weather, you still have to dress funny. The police will stop you if you don’t look like part of the race.

The Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race is sponsored and run by the American Visionary Art Museum. KineticBaltimore.com is the volunteer work of Tom Jones.
