2026 Race Report: Quixote’s Giant

A new team from St. John’s College Annapolis campus brought Quixote’s Giant, a 13-foot tall, 4-pilot windmill, terror to wandering knights.

The Johnnies entered in the Bush League, indicated by a yellow license plate. They completed the entire race except the water entry.

We found as many photos as we could showing all 4 pilots at once. This is not one of them.

I do not deny that what happened to us is a thing worth laughing at.

What I have found written in the annals of La Mancha, is that he was on the road all day.

Experiment proved how easily entrenchments could be made in the desert sand.
