Big Lady

For its Time Warp theme, Big Lady captured the rococo style of Marie Antoinette. This was the first entry from Team Poorly Drawn Bikes from across Maryland. |

The 2-pilot sculpture had wooden pontoons and a trailer carrying the 12-foot tall figure. Keep a close eye on Marie’s face. |

The statue encountered a low-hanging tree on Federal Hill, exposing her papier-mâché head. That’s Frou Frou the poodle on the front. |

The pontoons provided plenty of floatation, but her hairdresser must be in despair. Don't miss the roly-poly unicorns, one on each side. |

Paddles bore the team’s name. |

After a wardrobe refresh, Big Lady made it through the mud with a lot of pushing. Don’t miss the white cake, as in “Let them eat cake.” |

At Patterson Park, the team presented an $8,008.50 check as bribe to Top Kop Margo. |

…and after crossing the finish line were awarded Best Pit Crew for their attentiveness and epeditious obstacle transversal. |
